About Jodie Davis
Known for her cheerful embrace of color and her inventive techniques evoking “Why didn’t I
think of that?” responses, Jodie is a teacher, designer of quilts and quilt-related products, and
an award-winning TV host. Jodie’s passion is to spread the joy of making things. As the author of
thirty quilting books and a travelling teacher, Jodie looked to the airwaves to reach more people
in her mission of spreading the joy of quilting. Right out of the box the very first episode of the
show “Friends in the Bee” earned Jodie accolades as host and co-producer from her peers in the form
of prestigious Communicator, Videographer and Telly awards. “Friends in the Bee” is Jodie’s answer
to the question she is most often asked: “Where do you get your ideas?” The answer is “everywhere.”
With QNNtv and QCA Jodie is excited that quilting now has a place where quilters and the
industry can meet to further the enjoyment of quilting and where anyone can contribute to the
passion of quilting.
About QNNtv
Special interest groups dream of a television channel devoted exclusively to their passion.
For quilters this is a reality. With the mass adoption of high speed internet connections and thus
the general ability to watch online video, the possibility of a channel devoted just to quilting
became a reality in May of 2006 when QNNtv became live. QNNtv airs most every show made for
quilting, shows made just for QNNtv, and programming created for QNNtv by QNNtv. Finally there is a
place for quilters and will-be quilters to learn to quilt all day, any day. With distribution on
the Internet, QNNtv has cut out the gatekeepers, putting decision-making for quilting programming
in the hands of quilters and our industry. Our mission is to spread the joy of quilting through our
large library of content, to both current quilters and future quilters.
