Less Is More
To balance stress with peace and clarity, think minimalism for a simpler way of dressing. Wear clean lines, sculpted shapes and lots of black and white with just a dash of grey. This season's obsession with clean, cool tailoring can be seen in everything from dresses, coats, jackets and pants. It's bold, luxe and-above all-modern. Minimalist chic is no longer just sticking to the basics but trying pieces with architectural designs and emphasis. Achieve a striking design with stand-collars, hidden plackets, and architectural shaped sleeves.

Boy Meets Girl
If you prefer a stronger wardrobe, look for inspiration from the 1940s. Buy shaped jackets and sharply-cut trousers to pay homage to Hollywood icons channeling Katherine Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich. Go for higher waists with wider bands for both pants and pencil skirts. Military coats and biker jackets are perfect for autumn temperatures. With brass buttons and jackets with broad shoulders, you will be sure to make a statement of courage and pride. Oxfords and Mary Janes in sexy new heights, along with patterned and textured leg wear are what you need to achieve any look inspired from menswear. Complement this trend with fedoras, fashionable gloves and oversized totes and satchels.

Lush & Ladylike
This season the waist has re-emerged bringing updated style to a retro look. Details on feminine blouses such as ruffles, draping and unique collar treatments romanticize a more business-like approach. As fall nights grow colder, slip into warm fabric mixes such as rich wools and knits, some of the season's most luxurious textiles.  For fresh glamour, accessorize with rare, colorful earrings that dangle. Bold and daring costume rings with multiple bangles are sure to draw the right type of attention. Not sure which necklace to wear? Pile them all on-a look that Mademoiselle Chanel would be proud of. Clustered brooches and pearls coupled with daytime clutches will keep you looking modern and sophisticated. Finally, bring the look to perfection with ankle boots, T-straps and new pumps that provide substance for your style.

Fall Beauty '08
Beauty lies in the hands of the artist, which is you! Whether you are an amateur or pro, creating the fresh new face for fall can be simple and easy. It's all about glamour, glamour, glamour. Try these runway beauty tips that work in the real world..

•    Statement lips are back in a big way, and nothing is more glamorous for fall than red! Try an array of sensuous shades from bold, blue-reds to deep, luscious cherries. Skip the gloss and wear rich, matte stains that leave a lasting impression. This look never goes out of style.

•    To stay connected with vintage Hollywood, the dramatic smoky eye completes the look. Create this sultry, sexy eye with shadows and liners. For a polished, dramatic look, apply liquid liner after eye shadow and before mascara. Add some shimmering shadow and sparkles to the eyelids for a frosted effect. Raise your glam factor by trying a pair of faux lashes.

•    Shades of plum are everywhere this fall. Aubergine, purple and Bordeaux will be seen on eyes, cheeks, lips and nails. Look for limited-edition items like mascara and eyeliners to take this trend over the top. Generously apply shades of gray, chocolate and plum. If you are going with a smoky look, pair your eyes with a soft, pale lip and a light dusting of blush on the apples of the cheeks.

Scent of a Woman
In the words of Christian Dior, "Long after one has forgotten what a woman wore, the memory of her perfume lingers." No wardrobe is complete without a signature scent. Finish off your fall collection of deep and bold colors with something sensuous and renowned!  Moving into colder months means moving into rich, full-bodied perfumes. Whether you decide to stick to your favorite fragrance or want to try something new, trust your senses, and you can't go wrong.
